Raspberry Pi Installation
Download latest version for windows:
https://downloads.raspberrypi.org/imager/imager_1.7.exe
Download latest version for mac:
https://downloads.raspberrypi.org/imager/imager_1.7.dmg
- After downloading, run the installer and start the imager. You will then get the following screen:
- Click on “CHOOSE OS”
- Choose here the “Raspberry Pi O.S. 32-bits” (Recommended)

You can now determine a number of settings before the operating system writes to disk. To do this, press the gear icon.
- Here we choose to provide the default hostname as well as to activate SSH (turned off by default)
- We then choose Pi as Username
- And as Password Raspberry
- Set your country
- In addition to the country settings for the WiFi, it is also best to already set the keyboard settings to your country as well
- The last step is to choose the right medium where the OS needs to be burned. The Imager usually states here the right one right away, but it's best to always double check!
- To start the writing process, press “Write”, This may take a while as the download of the O.S. happened simultaneously with writing:
- When writing to the SD card is finished, please select “Eject” on your laptop and remove the card from the reader.
- Now plug the SD card into the Raspberry pi
